Boot Camp # 1:
Drawing ears!
Part one of this intense four part series of
anatomy and foundations
lessons "rehearsal"

Listing the five skills of drawing -  Keep these in mind as you work through the Flash Lessons:

1) the perception of edges
2) the perception of spaces
3) angles, perspective, and proportion
4) light and shadow
5) the gestalt

In these "Boot Camp" lessons you're going to get an in-depth lesson in two things: you're going to learn about a particular piece of anatomy and you're going to continue reviewing, rehearsing, and revisiting the basic skills of drawing. In fact, you're going to get so much of it by the time you're done with all the lessons and all the Flash modules (in the this and the next three lessons) you'll be ready to graduate to bona fide drawings and caricatures. If you conscientiously do the all the assignments and apply yourself, I guarantee this. Dive on in and don't be afraid!

Click on the graphic above to open the Flash Lesson and look over the links below for other lessons and resources.

Note: Due to the way the Flash Lessons are constructed and due to limitations between Flash technology and this electronic book, the links contained within the interactive lesson point to the online book (links of the "http://www...." type).

For your convenience, the links contained within the Flash Lesson "Boot Camp: Drawing Ears!" are repeated in their order of appearance within the table below. Specifically the right half of the table is linked to the pages within this book, the left hand column brings you to the same pages in the on-line, World Wide Web version of the book  - just read the headline for each column :-) ...(In other words, the links in the right hand column are linked to the book as it sits loaded on your computer - if you own a copy - - they won't open a browser and you don't need a web connection to open them. What a deal :-)

If you want to see if any new additions have been made to the online page, click on the links within the Flash Lesson or click on the links in the left hand column below. If you want to access those pages rapidly, refer to this list:

Links on-line, out there

- Click on this column of links where you can find updates (if any) - click on any of these and
a web browser will open.
