I've included them mainly as a learning aid - and they're copyrighted - but now that you're a member, they're here for you forever...as long as you stay within the usage rules listed below. Note also, some of these are slightly larger file sizes - bigger that is than when you received them by email. (The way they're stored in the e-Magazine Archives.) That means they have greater resolution - i.e. more pixel information.

The first two links are pretty hefty - this was done so you might appreciate the amount and complexity of lines and hatch work that go into rendering realistic hair. Keep in mind it's just one method of making hair look thick, full-bodied, and real.

Expanded Usage Policy:
Again if you want to use the caricatures for personal use, you can pretty much do whatever you like. If you use them for anything else (commercial, ads, newsletters), AND you're a small business (by small business I mean a sole proprietorship or a "mom and pop" outfit), that's fine too.

Give Attribution
In either case, all I ask in return is you keep the "Courtesy of www.YouCanDraw.com" or some facsimile of it intact.

If you do remove it, then all I ask is you do is make a clear attribution statement somewhere easily associated with the picture stating that the picture is from "YouCanDraw.com". Remember, other artists will charge several hundred dollars or more - much more - for a similar arrangement. If there is no "Courtesy of YouCanDraw.com" written on the picture, it's up to you to print the attribution or acknowledge nearby where you got the picture. That's pretty straight ahead.

Why am I willing to do this?
I've included the samples mainly as a drawing/learning aid. The other side of it is this: if you use them commercially it's free advertising for me - and possibly an inexpensive "workaround" for you while you're getting your drawing skills up to speed. We both benefit. ;-)

If you have any questions about the commercial or editorial status of what you're doing, just give me a call at 952/544-0657 and we'll figure it out. I'll probably lean towards generosity just by virtue of your calling.

For non-commercial uses I won't do these for less than 100 dollars a piece - if I have time to do them at all. For commercial purposes I'll do these for 3 to 15 times that if they're individually commissioned. So minimally, that's like getting at least 1200, 1500, 2000 dollars or much, much, more worth of caricatures.

About the caricatures. All caricatures are loaded at 72 dpi. 72 dpi files are loaded as "gif"s. All I ask is that you credit "www.YouCanDraw.com" for the art work. Thanks!

How this works: You can view all caricatures as the smaller 72 dpi versions, "right-click" to download. Your computer will prompt you about which drive/file you want to store your caricature in. Type the file in and press "ok". Download one at a time, as many as you want. In a few short minutes the caricature will be yours to do just about anything you want.
